Starbreed Planet Walkthrough
Eight stage spaces with named bosses and chip verbs
How to use this page
Starbreed’s campaign is eight named stage spaces—Catiya, Raptura, Molbon, Neos, Titas, Pearlus, Zol’gan, and Finale—often with a second pass (Catiya2, Molbon2, Pearlus2) that raises Affinity caps and introduces a unique boss. This leaf is the planet notebook. Levels stays the routing checklist. Bosses stays the pattern language. Data Chip Locations stays the collectible verb list. Read those if you only need one job. Read this page when a Steam thread title matches a planet you are stuck on.
The game is single-player, released July 30, 2026 on Steam app 2694020 and itch.io. Combat is on rails; the hub between planets is where Affinity, Credits, and Aether stats actually move. Do not treat a first clear as a chip run.
Catiya — city lanes and Nova literacy
Catiya is the onboarding planet: coastal city pursuit, then Catiya2’s Nova fight. Nova starts readable and later enrages. Treat attempt one as a pattern lesson, not a medal hunt. The All Bark! achievement is “defeat Nova in Catiya2,” so you will pop it on a honest first kill.
Catiya 1 chip: kill every Purple Claw cluster, including the pack hidden behind the right-side building near the first medkit. Pix’s highlight plus MITE Drones through the facade is the clean tool. Catiya 2 chip: melt Nova in under 60 seconds—save this for a Neural Link night with Nika yarn stacked low. Full verbs live on Chip Locations.
Raptura — Weeble, escorts, crates
Raptura is jungle-river and escort pressure. Devlogs named Weeble as the Raptura1 fight polish target. Listen when Lana warns you not to get boxed in: four escort ships spawn before the pipe she wants you to boost into. Delete all four with Pix satchels or Tanya bubble rams. Raptura 2 chip: at the entrance, smash box crates only. Carts do not count.
If Weeble’s kit still feels like a HP sponge, you are boosting into telegraphs. Brake, roll, then spend Q/E on the armor window. Party notes: Party Comps.
Molbon — Pigman and the Molbon 2 wall
Steam threads keep asking how to beat the boss on Molbon 2. Molbon is golem-and-waterfall terrain. Pigman (voiced in the credits as a McNorsk role) is the named encounter players trip on. The chip verb is the opposite of a DPS race: let Pigman live until a waterfall golem finishes him. Shoot off turrets so he cannot delete you, but leave the main body intact. If you melt Pigman yourself, the chip never spawns and the fight may feel “wrong” because the scripted golem beat never plays.
Molbon 1 chip: replay with Pix and kill five shootable golems, saving her active for the dense first-half packs. Enter Molbon 2 only after you can survive Molbon 1 without panic boosting. Assertion recharge from the Resolve and Assertion tab matters here more than max HP.
Neos — pink wires and boss sets
Neos is neon-district precision. Neos 1 chip: take the alt path and destroy exactly three pink wires—one stray hit voids the pickup. Neos 2 chip: during the boss, destroy two full sets of pink wires in a tight window. Nika’s upgraded brake buys the float time. If you keep missing set two, you are over-firing into phase transitions. Pause (Space/Esc) and count wires like a checklist, not a DPS meter.
Titas — Real World, subspace, emotion faces
Titas uses a Reality / subspace swap. The Titas2 boss rolls four emotion faces; Happy’s flamethrower is unavoidable in Reality and phasable in subspace. That is not flavor text—it is the mechanic. Titas 2 chip: in the final hallway of the Real World, stay in the Real World, hug the floor, and sweep the bottom path. Muscle memory that world-swaps will skip the chip. Titas 1 chip: three purple claws under the left wall inside the sandstorm—MITE, Fire Wave, or Lana’s enhanced active.
Pearlus — passageway halls and ice
A mid-August Steam thread titled Pearlus Passageway Halls is the wall-pierce chip, not a missing map. Pearlus 1: on the underwater path a Sea Monster sits outside the passageway walls. Normal blasters bounce. Hit through rock with MITE Drones, Fire Wave, Flame Charge, Lana’s enhanced active, or Tanya’s upgraded active. Pearlus 2: between the Tide Turners breaking ice and the giant clam, kill all Sea Monster enemies. Corner stragglers void the chip.
If the halls look empty, you are shooting the wall, not through it. Swap loadout on Loadout Guide before blaming the stage.
Zol’gan — spiders, rocks, Brisk
Zol’gan is the gimmick planet. Zol’gan 1 chip: reach the boss without spider venom (purple balls; red bugs are spiders). Zol’gan 2 chip: take zero falling-rock hits—Siren plus Lana shooting rocks, Tanya shield, or pure pattern work. Brisk is the reflective / siphon showcase: stop firing into reflect fields, prioritize summoned weapons, save peel actives for clone chaos. Details: Boss Guides.
Finale — No Help, then the rush
Finale 1 chip: start with Play (No Help) and run Neural Link plus thrust tools. The later rush is Finale2: three Nova phases, Siren heal, then ending talk. Ending flags live on Endings. Do not mix chip nights with ending nights.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common Starbreed questions.
How do I beat the Molbon 2 boss?
Treat Pigman as a scripted encounter: strip turrets, keep the body alive, and let the waterfall golem finish him so the chip and fight both resolve.
What are Pearlus Passageway Halls?
The underwater hall where a Sea Monster sits outside the walls. You need a wall-piercing weapon or active, not more time in the corridor.
Does every planet have two stages?
Most named spaces have a deeper second pass. Treat those as Affinity-cap and unique-boss keys, not optional sightseeing.
Should I chip-hunt on the first visit?
No. Clear the unique boss, read the H-scene room hint, then replay with the verb from Chip Locations.
Where is Titas subspace explained?
On this page and in the Titas2 emotion-face fight: some attacks only exist in Reality and drop if you swap.
Is Starbreed co-op on hard planets?
No. The campaign is single-player only on Steam and itch.io.
