How to use this roster

Starbreed unlocks party members as you battle through stages, then invites you to romance them through Affinity. This roster page is a spoiler-safe cast map for the July 30, 2026 release—not a scene script. Use it to learn who exists, what fantasy each name signals, and which wiki pages go deeper.

Aether (protagonist)

Aether is you. Male form is the default start; Female Aether unlocks around 50 Resolve under the Aether tab. Assertion improves boost recharge and masculine appeal; Resolve improves max HP and feminine appeal. Full detail: Aether Guide and Resolve and Assertion.

Core allies (romance / party)

Lana — Early-facing partner energy with dedicated VA; strong candidate for teaching Affinity conversations.
Nika — Multiple dialogue and scene expansions called out in patch eras; alternate hair options appeared in development.
Tanya — Combat fantasy ally with upgraded active functions noted in changelogs.
Pix — Conversation kit famously split across Affinity 0 / 25 / 50 / 75 style gates.
Nova — Also a signature boss presence in Catiya-era content; expect fight identity plus cast presence.
Siren / Freya — Linked naming in scene and VA credits; treat as intertwined unlock fantasy.
Rooster — Utility/identity ally; boss kit references even mirror Rooster-like beam clone ideas on Brisk.
Pom — Data Chip completion mascot; chips feed Pom perks and bonus content (Data Chips).
Tiger — Additional roster depth with shared VA credit lines in official team posts.

Exact unlock stages vary by campaign structure across Catiya, Raptura, Molbon, Neos, Titas, Zol’gan, and Finale spaces—confirm in Levels Walkthrough.

Boss-adjacent personalities

Voice credits also highlight generals, sabers, and bosses such as Brisk, Coyote, and others. They matter for Boss Guides more than Affinity ladders. Do not assume every voiced name is romanceable.

Combat role reminder

Every party ally brings a passive and an active. Rank them in Allies Tier List, study triggers in Abilities, and assemble shells in Party Comps or the Party Planner.

Use Affinity Guide and Affinity Checklist. At 100, continue to Impregnation Trials for EX passives that may reorder your personal tier list.

Presentation notes

English VA is a pillar—credits list performers for Pix, Lana, Siren, Rooster, Tanya, Tiger, Nika, both Aethers, Nova, Pom, Freya, and more. UI languages include English, Korean, Russian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The game is 18+; adult scenes unlock through systems, not random gallery dumps.

Unlock patience

Starbreed drip-feeds the cast across planets so each ally arrival rewrites party math. Resist the urge to declare a permanent “final three” after Catiya. Leave mental slots open for later unlocks who may carry EX passives into Zol’gan.

When a new name appears, do three things: read their passive/active in-game, add a row to the Affinity Checklist, and decide whether they are a bond-first or combat-first recruit for the next two stages.

VA as spoiler-safe flavor

English performances are a reason to raise volume and listen during stages, not only during hub talks. If a boss voice hits harder than expected, that is working as designed—just do not confuse a cool boss VO with a romance unlock.
