Starbreed Party Comps Tier List
Full shells for every campaign goal
Comps over lonely MVPs
Starbreed rewards party composition more than a single favorite. Actives on Q / E, passives in the background, Aether’s Resolve/Assertion mix, and your shop weapon must agree. This page ranks comp templates—fill the roles with names from Roster and Allies Tier List.
Template tiers
S — Learning shell
- 1 peel active ally
- 1 delete / battery ally
- 1 flex (Affinity target or utility)
- Weapon: comfort S-tier from Weapons
- Aether: hybrid stats (Aether)
Use until Controls are muscle memory.
S — Boss shell
- 2 combat pillars tuned to the boss keyword (enrage, reflect, siphon—see Bosses)
- 1 utility that breaks the gimmick
- Optional EX-passive carries after Impregnation Trials
A — Affinity farm shell
- 1–2 bond targets below 100 (Affinity Checklist)
- 1 babysitter carry so clears stay fast on easy stages (Levels)
A — Chip hunt shell
- Mobility-friendly Assertion lean
- Clutter-clear active
- Patience—read H-scene room hints (Data Chips)
B — Meme / favorite-only
All hearts, no peel. Fine for sightseeing, painful on Finale.
Example fills (replace with unlocks you have)
| Slot | Learning | Boss | Affinity farm |

| 3 | Early unlock flex | EX-passive star | Comfort carry |

Synergy reminders
Credits spent on the wrong gun break S comps—Credits Shop. Pom chip goals may justify a B-tier ally for a night. Female Aether at 50 Resolve does not auto-fix a bad shell.

Comp journaling
After each boss win or loss, write which template you used and which slot failed. Most players remember the ally they like and forget the peel they benched. Journals turn vibes into data.
Sample entry: “Zol’gan2 loss — farming shell, no anti-reflect, Assertion too low.” Next attempt becomes obvious: swap to boss shell, raise recharge, keep one Affinity flex only if the clear is already comfortable.
Mixing tools and tiers
Tiers suggest; planners commit. Copy a template into Party Planner, fill real names from Roster, then play. If you skip the write-down step, you will reinvent mediocre parties forever.
Keep the shells honest
Name your templates after goals, not after favorite characters. A learning shell that still clears Zol’gan is lying about its job title. Refresh roles using Abilities, then copy the revised lineup into the Party Planner before the next sortie.
Scenario cards
Scenario: first Nova clear — learning shell, comfort weapon, hybrid Aether, pause on enrage.
Scenario: chip night on cavern routes — Assertion lean, clutter-delete active, hint already read.
Scenario: double Affinity push — two bond targets plus one babysitter on an easy replay.
Scenario: reflective late boss — anti-gimmick first, DPS second, romance flex only if already stable.
Write which scenario you are playing on the Party Planner header. Mislabeling a chip night as a boss night is how good allies get blamed for bad plans. Re-check Weapons Tier List whenever the scenario changes midweek.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common Starbreed questions.
What is the best Starbreed party?
The best party matches your goal: learning, boss, Affinity, or chips. Use the templates above.
How many Affinity targets can I bring?
Bring as many as you can still clear with. One flex slot is the safe default.
Do comps change after Trials?
Yes. EX passives can promote farm partners into boss shells.
Should comps include Pom?
For chip completion arcs, yes. For pure boss DPS, only if her kit helps the fight.
Are these comps multiplayer?
No. Starbreed is single-player; comps are solo party slots.
Where do I track builds?
Use the Party Planner tool page.
